Fishing in the banyak islands is nothing short of sensational. You can expect to catch such species as wahoo, giant trevally, tuna, spanish mackerel, barracuda, dolphin fish (mahi mahi), sail fish etc. All fishing tackle is provided in the package. We use tried and proven fishing equipment like the spanish made abu garcia rod, penn reels from the U.S.A and repala lures from sweden, a combination we have found that will maximise the chances of you catching the big one.

In February 2008 diverse TV aka discovery channel filmed an epic 2 part “Man VS Wild” series with bear grylls called the "Ring of Fire". 1 part of the show was filmed in the North Sumatra-Banyak Islands region with bear slugging it out on 1 of the many islands in this remote archipelago of west Indonesia .
